A lovely daily rhythm written by a dear friend. Shared with permission.

Village living to realize an ancient and evolving paradigm

Morningtide:

We shall rise with the blessed animals and plantings. Love them. See to
their wants. Find a harmony. Offer thanks. Share a turn in the morning
milking, sowing, reaping, hunting, or gathering afield and stream.
Dance along the way.

Midday:

We shall create and recreate: home-spun handiworks; sacred tobaccos;
soured breads and soaked maize; imperfect poems; irreverent tunes; local
medicaments; old-world rennet cheeses; well-balanced cutlery; living
ferments; sacred-in-the-moment songs; soil-to-table delectables;
vinegars and moonshine; dwellings of clay, cedar and pine; baskets of
reed, needle and shoot; future pictographs; profound and/or profane
writings; artisan sausages {A loaf of soured bread, a jug of full-bodied red,
and thou better not forget the grass-fed butter!} And grammaw’s jam.
Dance along the way.

Eventide:

We shall share the bounty around friendly grandfather fires: tables laden
with comestibles of our playful tuneful labours, with like-hearted souls
who find a way, every day, into the long memory of rivers, dragons, and
the jubilant laughter of children.
Dance along the way.

Slumbertide:

We shall float down into Source (or fly, as whimsey may dictate),
replenishing our bodies of light and bone. Hold our village, and all villages,
in a spell of deepest peace, mirth, and abundant web-of-life.
Remember.. til we forget. Then remember again.
Dream the dance along the way.
