Across the African Continent and most currently prominent in the southern lands, the Nguni, of Bantu African-origin, and now most prominently the Zulu, have a beautiful greeting that is also a farewell, it goes like this, “Umuntu Ubuntu”, which translates, “I am because we are”, or “Because of you I exist”.
Whereas currently in western culture there is a growing framework stating, “If you think differently then me I can kill you.” Demanding the question of where has this emerged from and just what are we becoming! Duality has and is growing exponentially in our world, destroying families and communities at an unprecedented level. This dualistic force has been emerging from our political systems and although this may be obvious, why do we accept the duality and divisive world we create from it???
What Lakota wisdom says about our politics is so true and I quote, “The left wing and the right wing are attached to the same bird.”
But let’s explore the roads out of the “mud” we are in, instead of looking at each and every slimy pebble.
As the Bantu knew, we exist in an Interdependent Universe, where each and every living being plays a supporting role in every other life, sharing in this Universal Field of loving, living energy. We all carry our own unique gift within us that can be utilized and even celebrated by others!
May we all begin to seek out and join with others who comprehend the importance of integrating and uniting in this life. For together we discover ways and means that move us forward building lasting “come~unity”. We always feel so, so grateful when we meet another person or couple who comprehend these same truths. It is interesting to note that those we have met, are also working in some modality or another, towards real manifestation of change. This is very uplifting and bonds our friendships in powerful ways, to say the least!
Clear and heartfelt communication is essential as a starting point. It is an integral aspect of health on all levels including personal relationships, community interaction as well as physical heath.
Our physical body is a great example in that it stands as an example on all levels.
Cellular communication is the foundation of a healthy body. Our cells communicate by touching each others hair like filaments that are made from the eight essential sugars and twenty~one amino acids. Most of these are often absent from our diets. They are called Glyconutrients and we get them from eating the correct types of foods/herbs that supply these materials the cells require for building and maintaining healthy filaments for their communication.
The amino acids are more available in our diets than the eight sugars. These sugars combine with proteins and fats forming a code that allows the cells to communicate with each other. This allows the immune system to distinguish between true~self and non~self. This code is the foundation for blood types, the functioning of the immune system and the body’s ability to heal, plus much, much more. If you consume these 8 Glyconutrients you will find it very hard to get sick.
They are as follows and found in the highest levels of the foods mentioned:
- Mannose ~ Aloe Vera, Shiitake Mushrooms, Kelp, Green Beans, Capsicum (Cayenne Pepper), Cabbage, Eggplant and Fenugreek
- Glucose ~ Aloe Vera, Garlic, Kelp
- Galactose ~ Broccoli, Apples, Chestnuts and Fenugreek
- Xylose ~ Ground Psyllium Seeds
- Glucosamine ~ Bovine Bone Broth
- Neuramic Acid ~ Organic Hen’s Egg, Whey Protein {not the powder}
- Glactosamine ~ Bovine Bone Broth, Red Algae
- Xylose ~ Aloe Vera, Broccoli, Spinach, Eggplant, Guava, Pears, Blackberries, Loganberries, Raspberries
These eight can also be found in combination from supplements.
My point in bringing them forward is that healthy bodies are important to community as well as to emphasize the truth of our food as our medicine. Just as our words and actions are the food of our presence in this realm. Honest heartfelt communication is the foundation of vital loving families. Vital loving families are the foundation of creative, loving, abundant, interactive communities. In health we laugh, love and live!
In the following installment of this article I will explore the nine essential aspects of uniting in a healthy community. Until then, may you live, love and laugh in health!
