The Issue
Dear President Trump,
During your Inauguration address on January 20, 2017, you said:
“Today’s ceremony, however, has very special meaning. Because today we are not merely transferring power from one administration to another, or from one party to another—but we are transferring power from
Washington, D.C. and giving it back to you, the American People.”
Please enact policy that enables land to be available for villages of multigenerational family homesteads (optimally 2.5 acres per family) that can provide self-sufficiency for those families, and additionally provides healthy food for others. Living close to nature creates balanced and rational people. This will help to make our nation healthy and strong again.
This is a form of social organization which has not been broadly seen on Earth for many centuries. It is a way of life that brings harmony amongst people and with the Earth itself, thus preventing many of the ills of our current modern lifestyles.
It is a profound truth that there is an inherent need and right for a deep personal, physical and soul connection to land. Man or Woman as a source of energy and creativity is unlimited, unleashed and uncapped when granted land unencumbered… Working in concert with God, or the mind of the Universe, these areas will become sacred spaces, well-tended and vibrant to a level unheard of and unseen in these technocratic wastelands of today.
There is a model for these communities of homesteads. We could model our American family homestead communities on the successful ones in Russia, most of which were inspired by the vision of Anastasia, who is written of in The Ringing Cedars of Russia, a ten-book series by Russian author Vladimir Megre. This movement in Russia began in 1996 and has been proven out over the last twenty-nine years, with over 500 thriving communities worldwide. Attempts to follow these examples in America have gone nowhere, due to the obstacles enumerated in the Appendix.
This is a deep, real, time-honored solution, not just a band aid for the ills that beleaguer our beautiful America. This family homestead idea is a missing piece in your redefining the role of Government and rebuilding the strength of our Nation. As you remove Governmental departments, the American people must take on the roles that are being set free by your executive orders and actions. We the people must now look to each other, instead of the government to solve societal ills, and the creation of family homestead communities make a more stable and self-sufficient society to take on the added burdens in this time of transition.
Those who have tried to create such communities in the U.S. have found it impossible, due to the many restrictions. The closest approximations to what we wish to create, newly, exist only in the form of communities such as those of the Amish and Mennonites. These communities have roots dating back in continuous line to and before the founding era of this country when they came to America seeking freedom of religion and conscience, and a lifestyle that accommodated their needs for these. That they still persist, despite severe challenges and abuses from governments and other encroachments, is awe-inspiring. Only their deep grounding in conscience and tradition, and their ability to work with nature have sustained them despite adversity for centuries. For everyone else who is not inclined or welcome to join them—yet who wish to emulate some aspect of what they have maintained—there are few if any avenues to even attempt establishing a community of conscience and connection to nature as discussed herein.
There is no desire here to drive masses “back to the land” against their will under globalist, centralized and disempowering agendas—exemplified by the World Economic Forum and its efforts to push people into so called “smart cities” where they will “own nothing and be happy.” Humanity’s free-will requires choice in how we live. There are many Men and Women who wish to live more connected to the land and in a community of like-minded people. The current laws and regulations on the books, related to agriculture and homesteading, make this a largely impossible endeavor, not suited to smaller holdings and groups of homesteads. Even traditional American family farms are being driven from existence. We only ask the opportunity to exercise our God-given rights to pursue honest connection to the land in the community of people who wish the same.
In Conclusion, by making suitable land available, and by streamlining a process for the creation of Family Homesteads and Family Homestead Communities and Villages, you return to the people the solid foundation of land on which to live, you unleash a cooperative power the world has never known, capable of transforming this planet, and this Universe. This will truly make America great again.
Empowering individuals in this way will help to peacefully disassemble the chains of enslavement to corporate, banking, governmental and educational systems.
Appendix
The following areas need reform:
Removing the restrictions and red tape of current monetary policy which make it impossible for Family Homesteads and Family Homestead Communities and villages to form.
Allowing American families to own outright, tax free, in perpetuity in their family line, tiny farms on which they can grow, flourish and prosper.
Making large tracts of unused and suitable land available for family homestead communities to form. With the regenerative farming practices of Joel Salatin and permaculture, even depleted land can be recovered.
Creating specially de-regulated zones specifically to make these types of villages, and homesteads available to all who choose. Individual family homesteads do not thrive in isolation.
To accomplish these remedies, please take all possible measures to remove:
● Inflexible Zoning for minimum tract sizes (the 2.5. acres tracts targeted here are often outside standard regulations for this type of use),
● Inflexible well, septic and sewer restrictions (as long as such uses maintain safe water and sanitation practices for the commons),
● Unnecessary restriction on domestic livestock which provide such products as eggs, milk, meat, etc., for the homestead,
● Restrictive building codes that inhibit individuals from building with planet-friendly, alternative materials and methods,
● Excessive taxes on the Land,
● Removing restrictions on DOT access roads and any requirement to be hooked up to power grids.
● Limitations on inheritance, i.e. the free passing of one’s homestead to one’s children.
● Other bureaucratic red tape obstacles to the creation of homestead communities.
With these burdens removed, such homestead communities could be accomplished in America, especially if modeled after the grassroots movement in Russia, based on the works of Vladimir Megre
called The Ringing Cedars of Russia, as touched on above.
The creation of homestead villages can help to solve the problems of:
● Homelessness and welfare state services,
● Overburdened prison and court systems could offer to non-violent prisoners the choice to participate in programs like this. It would save taxpayer money, while experiencing complete rehabilitation for the prisoners finding deeper meaning in a natural life in community.
● Overburdened Nursing Homes, and Housing for the elderly, as many homesteads would include grandparents… bringing better quality of life for the elders.
● Assimilation of immigrants who have become American citizens, into supportive communities.
● Obesity, and the sedentary lifestyles that create it, thus reducing and preventing the need for pharmaceuticals and medications.
● Reduction of corporate pollution through the use of locally-sourced,
closer-to-the-earth building materials, foods and clothing, as crafts and local sourcing recirculates resources into the local economies.
● The negative influences of technology, which are (like the Pied Piper) stealing the Focused attention, energy, minds, hearts, souls, and ultimately the life-force of our children.
● Mental and physical health issues that are exacerbated by consumption of processed and chemical laden food, isolation from a supportive community, insufficient exposure to natural light and the sun and the disconnection from nature.
● Destruction of the core human family and its values.
● Addictions to technology, alcohol, drugs, as alternative interests, supportive communities and unleashed creativity are chosen and unlocked by those addicted.
● High cost of living, and poor/lifeless food.
● Pollution of air, land, water, light and noise.
● Loss of topsoil.
● Excessive use of chemicals, fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides, used on large agri-business farms, that pollute water, air and soil.
● Excessive vulnerability and burden of the centralized systems, including food growing and delivery systems of agribusiness, that dominate our nation’s food supply and the power grid, as many homesteads would be off-grid.
● Weather extremes, by creating microclimates that help to modulate weather patterns by using permaculture methods.
Some benefits of Homestead Villages enumerated:
● Creation of a nature-based system of education for our children, delivered locally by the communities themselves in a manner that they see fit, can enable children to grow into their full God-given potential, developing their ability to think and reason for themselves, thus becoming less susceptible to propaganda, programing and indoctrination.
● Unleashing the creativity of men and women, by unburdening them from land taxes, and empowering them to determine their own future.
● Regaining control over one’s own food supply, in partnership with nature, brings the potential for true and vibrant health, to a level that is impossible from centralized systems remote from the consumers.
● Permaculture and regenerative farming practices restore topsoil, overall soil structure and improve water retention.
● Decentralizing, diversifying and localizing healthful food supplies.
May we once again join hands with our Creator and replace the suffering with lives beautifully lived. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
